How to use the animal wheel

Press Spin in the centre to choose from the eight animals already on the wheel. To change the choices, open Change animals, select an animal pool and a wheel size, then press Build a new wheel. You can choose up to 6, 8 or 10 distinct animals. If a pool has fewer animals than your chosen size, the wheel includes them all. The numbers on the wheel match the list in Animals on this wheel.

Each eligible animal has the same chance of winning. The choice is made first, then the wheel turns to that animal’s slice. Only animals listed on the current wheel can win. The starter wheel stays the same until you build a fresh one.

Can I spin without repeats?

Yes. No repeats this round is on by default. Selected animals become unavailable for the rest of the round. When every animal has been selected, the wheel stops. Reset round keeps your animals and makes them all available again. Build a new wheel replaces the animals and starts a fresh round.

What can I use an animal spinner for?

Choose an animal for charades, a classroom activity or a drawing exercise. Each result includes a real photo and a link to its animal profile, with facts, photo credit and sources.

Does every animal have an equal chance?

Every eligible catalogue entry on your wheel has equal odds. Species and breeds are separate entries, so this does not give every species, class or habitat equal odds. With reduced motion enabled, the wheel moves directly to the result.
